March 29, 2017
Ayla Networks, a global Internet of things (IoT) platform for manufacturers, announced that Galanz Group intends to select Ayla as a preferred partner for connected products. Galanz, a Chinese household-appliances manufacturer, is the world’s largest manufacturer of microwave ovens.
A signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Galanz and Ayla was held March 28 in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China.
By its intention to use Ayla’s Internet of Things (IoT) platform technology and services, Galanz will be joining Ayla’s customer list of other Chinese top household-appliance manufacturers, including Hisense, Midea, TCL and Changhong.
“This cooperation with Ayla is a major step in the international expansion of Galanz Group’s smart home business,” said Shouguo Wang, deputy director of Galanz Home Appliance Research Institute, based in Zhongshan.
The MOU also strengthens Ayla’s strategic focus on kitchen appliances as an important vertical market, according to Phillip Chang, Ayla co-founder, vice president and general manager of greater China.
“Galanz is an enormously successful and future-thinking enterprise,” Chang said, “We look forward to a productive and wonderful partnership.”
