Vendors Selected for the “Cool Vendor” Report are Innovative, Impactful and Intriguing

SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 5, 2015 – Ayla Networks, whose agile Internet of Things (IoT) platform makes it easy for manufacturers to deliver secure, connected products, today announced it has been included in the list of “Cool Vendors” in the Internet of Things report by Gartner, Inc.

“Gartner knows how important it is that manufacturers of all kinds of products have the right IoT solution to help turn their products into connected ‘things,’” said David Friedman, CEO and co-founder of Ayla Networks. “The market for Ayla’s IoT platform has accelerated dramatically this year compared to last year. Today’s largest manufacturers are making plans to bring to market connected things, and we believe Ayla’s platform is front and center in these plans.”

Over the past year, a number of leading manufacturers of appliances, connected home and smart building products have selected Ayla’s end-to-end IoT platform as the best and fastest way to deliver connected products to their end customers. In addition to its own technology base, Ayla also leverages strong partnerships with companies at the levels of the device (e.g., Ayla software embedded into chips being produced by Broadcom, Marvell, NXP and others), cloud (e.g., AWS) and app (e.g., WeChat, the world’s leading social communication platform).

Ayla was also named one of 10 key IoT start-ups to watch in 2015 by Computer Business Review.

The Annual Cool Vendors report defines “Cool Vendor” as a company that provides technologies or solutions that are innovative, impactful and intriguing for businesses. Gartner subscribers can access the full Cool Vendors in the Internet of Things, 2015 report, published April 30, 2015 – here.
