Ayla IoT Design Kit
The Ayla IoT Design Kit gives you a fast path to securely connect your product to Ayla’s flexible cloud platform and application libraries. We have worked with world-leading chip and module suppliers to provide an out-of-box solution that includes host microcontrollers, Wi-Fi modules enabled with Ayla Cloud Connect™ Stacks, and demo applications that enable you to connect to Ayla Cloud Services.
Android Marshmallow will have issues staying connected during provisioning to some older software versions in the IoT Design Kit. This will cause failure to setup. If you notice these problems please contact Ayla Support.

The Ayla Design Kit gives you out-of-the-box cloud connectivity. Forget about socket programming — there’s no need to develop any networking code or learn how to provision a cloud service! Just fire up the included STMicroelectronics STM32F3 and start building a cloud-connected product. Or use the onboard prototyping headers to connect the kit to another microcontroller or directly to an existing product and prototype a connected product in days.
Purchasers of the Ayla Design Kit get access to microcontroller driver source (typically 5-20KB), demo applications and Ayla Application Libraries, which enable you to create great apps that securely control your Ayla-enabled devices with a smartphone or tablet. Supporting Android, iOS and web interfaces, you can focus on your UI and leave the networking, security and authentication to us.
With the Ayla Design Kit, you’ll get an account on Ayla’s Developer Portal — a simple UI-driven design allows you to build or modify templates for your products in just minutes. Just sign up for a developer account, define a new template, and when you use the same named properties in your design, Ayla will take care of connecting the device and the cloud and keeping them in sync.
The Ayla Design Kit will also give you access to Ayla’s support site, which contains the documentation and how-to guides you’ll need for your product development, from porting guides for SPI drivers to documentation on connecting to other cloud services through our RESTful APIs. You can also sign up for a support package that meets your needs.
