Ayla Networks Announces Strategic Leadership Transition with John Grady

Ayla Networks, a leading smart home software platform, today announced that John Grady, previously Ayla’s Head of Global Sales, will take over leadership of the company as President. Concurrently, Jonathan Cobb, who has been pivotal in establishing Ayla’s market leadership position, will transition to Chairman and remain on the company’s Board to help guide the overall strategic direction.

Mr. Grady brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record to his new role as President. Before joining Ayla Networks in January 2022, he held senior leadership positions at Solar Mosaic, ChargePoint, and Pace plc, where he was instrumental in driving global sales strategies and channel innovation. During his tenure at Ayla, Grady has significantly expanded the company's global sales reach and deepened relationships with key smart home device manufacturers, retailers, and service providers. His comprehensive understanding of the smart home industry and Ayla’s customer needs uniquely position John to lead Ayla Networks in its next growth phase.

"John Grady’s contributions have been instrumental in our sales strategy and success,” said Jonathan Cobb. “I am excited about his vision for Ayla’s next stage of development and am confident in his ability to take the helm and drive our mission forward."

"I am thankful for the Board entrusting me with leading Ayla into this next phase,” said John Grady. "With our skilled team and top tier customer base, we will continue to set the standard and drive innovation as the market leading platform for the ever evolving smart home industry."

Under John Grady’s leadership, Ayla Networks plans to intensify its focus on delivering best of breed capabilities for its existing and prospective customers. The company will continue to capitalize on smart home growth tailwinds globally.
